Clement Daems, a Chicago native and University of Arizona graduate, dedicated twenty-two years of service to the US Air Force before building a diverse career as a software engineer, course developer, and adjunct professor teaching Mathematics and Computer Science. His professional journey reflects a strong blend of discipline, technical expertise, and a passion for education.

An avid reader of Science Fiction and Fantasy, Clement never initially set out to become a writer. In fact, it was only after his retirement at the age of seventy that he began working on his first novel. What started as a surprising creative pursuit quickly turned into a notable achievement, with his debut, The Talon of the Raptor Clan (later reissued as Talon of the Unnamed Goddess), earning recognition as an EPPIE finalist in the Fiction/Fantasy category.

Today, Clem is an internationally award-winning author and an active member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Beyond writing, he has a lifelong passion for Kung Fu and Tai Chi. Now retired and residing in Tucson, Arizona, he enjoys connecting with readers and welcomes conversations about his books, characters, retirement, or any topic that sparks interest at.
